Medium Mulch
Weed suppression and walkways
Medium mulch goes through the same composting process as our Topdressing Compost. It’s similar in appearance to the Topdressing Compost, but coarser and takes longer to decompose.

Compost Overs
Weed suppression
Compost overs go through the same composting process as our Topdressing Compost. Mulch Overs are comprised of the largest screenings of material. Pieces range from 2″ to 8″ in length. Some stones and miscellaneous materials can be found. Mulch overs are espresso colored.

TILZ Mountain Fish Compost
Vegetables and garden beds, great as a fertilizer
TILZ Fish Compost is an excellent way to add richness and nitrogen to your soil. Veggie gardens love it! Our compost is made with fish brought in from local fisheries. We then carefully compost it with our yard waste. The end result is a black compost that doesn’t smell like fish and adds not only nitrogen but a wide variety of micronutrients to your soil, giving your plants what they need to grow.

Medium Bark
Weed suppression and decoration
Medium Bark is comprised entirely of Fir and Hemlock bark. The red color is completely natural. Medium Bark acts as an acidifying mulch; it’s great for rhododendrons, azaleas and blueberries.

Shredded Wood
Weed suppression
Shredded Wood is made onsite at TILZ. We shred whole logs with our grinder to make shredded wood. It is 100% wood and is typically made with a random variety of woods. It ranges from blonde to rust in color and has pieces 1/2″ to 5″ in length.

Wood Chips
Weed suppression
This product is brought to TILZ by local arborists. The quality and quantity is variable. Wood chips are comprised of a random variety of woods. Typically they do contain greenery, from cedar fronds to maple leaves, and are about 1-3″ in diameter. Wood chips are square/rectangular chips as opposed to the longer lengths of shredded wood. Wood chips are a pick-up only item due to the spontaneity of us receiving them.
Other compost options include Cascade compost, specialty small batch composts, and more.
